Unhappy poetry: My happy place has crumbled to dust, broken fragments of reality. The air I I don't want to die anymore because things aren't too bad.

Poems About Happiness

The thing that I crave for money cannot buy For with it I know life I would really enjoy I want to be happy and of all cares free But when I look in my mirror a sad face I see. I want to be happy and laugh my cares away And wake in the morning and welcome the day And feel light and easy like a windblown leaf And laugh and be merry for life is so brief. Why do we crave things such as wealth and renown This ego of mine it keeps dragging me down And too much of ego is not a good thing Though of egotistical people we sing. We are pre-occupied with our own self esteem And we only live for our own selves and our blood kin 'twould seem A truly happy person would see life differently And if you know such a person of that person tell me. I want to be happy and free of all care And my gift of happiness with others I'd share But that money cannot buy happiness is only too true And that applies to all people and to me and you. The following poems talk about happiness and what it means to be happy from my personal perspective. Sometimes, we may think that we are happy, but in reality we may not be living our lives in sync with our values. For me, happiness means - having the freedom to be able to choose the things we do in our daily lives. It means to spend time on things which are important to us, while being surrounded by a loving and supportive community of family and friends. Happiness also means living a simple uncluttered life, with neither an excess of material possessions or drama.

September Roses Nov My soul has started to rot Charred black by the flame of heartbreak Cold as the night you left I don't think I'm breathing anymore The feeling of dread carried in with the wind through every open window Every shadow whispers your name I feel myself fading as fast as you left I don't feel the drive and passion anymore My happy place has crumbled to dust, broken fragments of reality The air I breath poisons my lungs as I fall faster and faster into the hellish hole that appears on every path My heart as empty as the canyons that used to make me feel free My breath as cold as the pouring rain that used to send me to sleep My soul as rotten as the core of the witches apple The witch that has cursed me Cursed me with the boulders I carry on my shoulders Cursed me to lie when I say I'm fine. Truly and honestly made for poetry not of reality. Continue reading
